Bocconi Urban Campus

Essepiwood has custom-made over 100 study desks for the Bocconi Urban Campus designed by the SANAA Sejima and Nishizawa and Associates

The challenge was to create low thickness composite panels, coupled together so as to obtain a curved plywood panel with a laminate finish.
Moulds and equipment were specifically developed to comply with the design specifications. Exclusive and articulated elements of different sizes and radiuses were also used to integrate the desks seamlessly in the sinuous interior spaces.
